Fallen Tear: The Ascension is out of Early Access on PC today. Maximum Entertainment, working with publisher partner CMD Studios and developer Winter Crew, also dated PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch versions for 2027, according to Gematsu.

The Steam Early Access window opened March 17; the full PC 1.0 lands September 23, 2026. Consoles share a 2027 window with no exact day published yet.

What’s in the pitch

Maximum’s overview casts players as Hira, a mysterious child fated to stand against ancient gods in the high-fantasy world of Raoah. The design blends JRPG-style party building with Metroidvania exploration and a touch of souls-like challenge across a hand-drawn interconnected map with professional voice acting.

Featured systems include recruiting allies whose abilities change combat and traversal, dynamic slash/parry/dodge combat with skill-tree loadouts, and a home-base loop at the Temple of Oras between expeditions. Up to 22 potential companions are pitched, each with their own skills and story.
