IO Interactive has released free downloadable content Extended Operations for 007 First Light, adding new activity Valhalla Protocol, new operation Jungle Heist, new weapons and outfits, New Game Plus, Photo Mode, and more, according to Gematsu (October 1, 2026).
Base game platforms today: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The Switch 2 version remains dated for March 2027 — this free DLC wave is for the platforms where First Light is already live.
For US Bond players who finished the campaign, Extended Operations is the first named post-launch free content pack: a new activity loop, a Jungle Heist operation, cosmetics/weapons, plus quality-of-life modes (NG+ and Photo Mode) that many big single-player launches now treat as table stakes. Treat Gematsu’s feature list as the public inventory; storefront patch notes may add smaller fixes alongside.
The drop lands the same busy early-October window as other multiplat shooter and action beats already on RCG — including Ace Combat 8 Deluxe Early Access Is Live Now — so calendar desks should keep 007’s free pack distinct from paid Deluxe or Complete Edition pitches.
PS5, Xbox Series, and PC owners should see Extended Operations as a free download in their platform’s store or in-game updater — no paid season pass is required for the features Gematsu listed. Switch 2 players still waiting on the March 2027 base game should not expect this Oct. 1 pack to change that console street. Photo Mode and New Game Plus are the evergreen hooks for players who already cleared the campaign and want another pass with cosmetics from Valhalla Protocol and Jungle Heist unlocked.
What we are not saying: we are not inventing a Switch 2 day-one DLC unlock in March, paid pricing for Extended Operations, or spoiling Valhalla Protocol / Jungle Heist mission objectives beyond the titles IO/Gematsu published. Report free DLC live October 1 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
