Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s first full season starts Nov. 6, and Activision has laid out what is coming across multiplayer, DMZ and Warzone in a post on the PlayStation Blog.

Multiplayer gets three maps at launch: Backstab, a war-torn map with harsh weather; Canyon, set among towering rock walls; and a reimagined Shoot House, now set in North Korea. Ministry, Overflow and more maps follow at mid-season. The fan-favorite Grind mode returns, and Drop Zone and Gauntlet 1v1 arrive as part of a Wager Match event, with Counter Attack and more modes due at mid-season. A Kill Block playlist puts Crash on rotation with the map static and other modes mixed in.

Halloween arrives early. Infected and Possession are joining the game before the season, starting this week.

In DMZ, players can infiltrate X01, a former Russian facility on the edge of Hajin that North Korean forces have taken over. It has cargo bays, vehicle depots, underground labs and a sealed Deep Vault, and extraction points close off as the facility locks down. Operators XERO and Blix headline the season’s new characters.

Warzone adds two maps, Hajin and Zodiac, and brings back Verdansk and Rebirth Island. Activision says full Warzone details will come on Nov. 2.

The Season 1 Battle Pass has a 100-tier track with the Cronen Osprey assault rifle and the CSG-35 SMG, and the JAK 12 shotgun and ZLR Talonhawk melee axe arrive later in the season. Premium owners get more than 50 guaranteed rewards, and PCGamesN notes a catch-up feature will help players who start late reach tier 50.

Activision released a Season 1 launch trailer:

The season follows a run of fixes for the game since launch, including a patch for Hijack spawns and a Search and Destroy exploit. Modern Warfare 4 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
