Pokémon Bank will shut down in February 2027

Nintendo

Summary

The Pokémon Company will end Pokémon Bank service on February 25, 2027 at 7 p.m. PT, and is urging players to move any Pokémon still stored there to Pokémon Home before then or lose them permanently. The 3DS cloud app, launched in 2013 to hold up to 3,000 creatures from Black & White through Sun & Moon, was delisted with the 3DS eShop in 2023 but kept running free even after Nintendo cut 3DS online support in 2024. Transfers from Bank to Home are one-way only, and Bank is no longer available to download. Separately, from October 2026 Pokémon Home will accept Pokémon from the Switch re-releases of FireRed and LeafGreen for onward transfer to other games, also with no return path to those titles.
