Tekken’s Reina Joins Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

Another big crossover is coming to SNK’s fighting game. Reina, one of Tekken 8‘s newcomers, is joining Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as a downloadable fighter in December. SNK revealed her with a teaser trailer on Friday, October 9, during its Evo France broadcast.

SNK’s description keeps Reina’s background vague, which fits the character. “Other than the fact that she’s a student of the Mishima Polytechnical School, everything about Reina is shrouded in mystery,” the publisher says. “With her lightning-quick moves, she occasionally reveals a ruthless side beneath her cheerful demeanor. After wandering into South Town, she decides to enter the King of Fighters.”

Her Tekken voice actors are coming with her. Kate Clarke voices Reina in English and Asami Seto in Japanese. SNK has not announced an exact December date or a price yet.

The “Purple Lightning” is the latest guest in a game that has leaned hard on crossovers. Just a day earlier, SNK released new trailers for Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji, two more guest fighters. Reina’s story hook is simple: she wanders into South Town and signs up for its King of Fighters tournament, the same event that pulls Terry Bogard and the rest of the cast together.

Reina made her series debut as one of Tekken 8’s new fighters, and her lightning-fast style should stand out in City of the Wolves, which is built around SNK’s REV system and quick, aggressive offense. The teaser shows her in action but does not reveal her full moveset, so expect a longer gameplay trailer closer to launch, as SNK has done for its other DLC characters.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch 2 version arrives on October 22, so Switch 2 players will be in the game well before Reina arrives.

It has been a busy fall for fighting game fans. RCG also reported that Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina has locked in an April 22, 2027 release.
