The clearest new-reader signal is Spider-Man: Brand New Day at #5 — Marvel’s $9.99 compact that missed the Adult Top 20 in June–July but arrived in August alongside ComicHub shop-chart heat. ICv2 notes the book is aimed at impulse buyers and movie-adjacent readers rather than Premier Collection trade dress. That same compact wave is already on our draft desk for the 2027 solicit map; this chart is the August sell-through proof point.
Elsewhere on the Adult list: Jujutsu Kaisen Vol. 1 holds #2, Kagurabachi Vol. 8 jumps to #3, and superhero trades break the manga wall via Avengers: Secret Wars (Marvel Premier Collection) at #11 and Absolute Batman Vol. 1: The Zoo at #19. VIZ still dominates the list with multiple Jujutsu Kaisen volumes plus Dandadan, Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man, and One Piece omnibus entries, while Kodansha and Yen Press keep first-volume manga in the mix. Circana’s Adult ranks are piece-sales based across roughly 85% of the U.S. trade print book market (16,000+ locations). Full unit tables sit behind ICv2 Pro; the free Top 20 is enough for a dated chart hit without inventing copies sold.
