PlayStationRockstar Releases the GTA VI Launch Trailer, Debuting a New Justice Track Five Weeks Before Launch

Rockstar Games has released the launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, a short final look at Vice City and the state of Leonida a little over a month before the game arrives on November 19. The 90-second clip went up on Rockstar’s site on October 15, and The Verge reports that Rockstar says it was captured entirely on PS5.

The trailer doubles as a music debut. Rockstar’s trailer page says it features the debut of “Flower in a Hurricane” from Justice, the electronic duo composing the game’s original score, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

A new story blurb for Jason and Lucia

The trailer also carries a fresh description of the game’s story, as quoted by The Verge: “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”

The Verge notes the clip doesn’t reveal much new, but it leans hard into the game’s Miami-inflected mood. Players after deeper gameplay footage already have Rockstar’s 26-minute “Extended Look” from August 27, which joins Trailer 1 from December 2023 and Trailer 2 from May 2025 on the same page.

Still set for November 19

Grand Theft Auto VI launches November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, roughly 13 years after Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar has not announced a PC version, though GamesBeat reported this week that one is planned for early 2027, as RCG covered in GTA 6 Is Headed to PC in Q1 2027, GamesBeat Reports. Rockstar’s leads have also said the studio’s next game shouldn’t take as long, as detailed in Rockstar Says Its Next Game Won’t Take Another 8 Years.
