Titan’s 500-Page Kennedy(s) Graphic Novel Arrives Feb. 16

Comics

Titan Comics has released a first look at Kennedy(s), a nonfiction graphic novel about one of America’s most famous political families. The book is written by Philippe Pelaez and illustrated by Bernard Khattou, and it arrives in stores on February 16, 2027, for $29.99, according to The Beat.

From Ireland to Dallas

Kennedy(s) traces John F. Kennedy’s family from its origins in Ireland through its rise to power and its political legacy. Across 500 pages of black-and-white art, Pelaez and Khattou look at the family’s upbringing and at how its ambitions and internal dynamics led to both political victories and controversies.

Titan’s description starts with the moment that defined the family in public memory. “On November 22, 1963, the assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy plunged America into mourning and forever etched the charismatic smile of its leader into the collective memory,” it reads. “The myth was born, and with it, all the conspiracy theories.”

The publisher says the book does not claim to solve that mystery. Instead, it goes back to the beginning to understand what led to that day in Dallas, describing Kennedy(s) as “the epic story of the Kennedy dynasty” built on “exceptional documentation.”

A crowded shelf

Titan notes that more than 40,000 books have been written about John F. Kennedy since his death, which makes a long-form comics treatment a distinctive way into the story. Pelaez is a prolific writer in French comics, and the book’s scale, at roughly the length of several standard graphic novels combined, suggests a deep dive rather than a quick biography.

The release continues Titan’s run of translated European albums and adult nonfiction alongside its licensed and crime lines. Earlier this month, the publisher also announced a Gun Honey spinoff with Hard Case Crime, which RCG covered in Titan Comics and Hard Case Crime Announce Killproof.

The Beat’s first look includes preview pages showing Khattou’s detailed black-and-white artwork. Kennedy(s) can be pre-ordered through comic shops and book retailers ahead of its February release.
