GungHo Online Entertainment America and Nihon Falcom have launched Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter worldwide — a modern remake of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC — now available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam, as of September 17, 2026, per GungHo Online and RPG Site.
Remake hooks
The remake brings updated visuals, reorchestrated music, quality-of-life improvements, and full English and Japanese voice acting. Clear data from Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter carries over for bonus items, and demo progress transfers into the full game. Combat expands with new Crafts / S-Crafts, Brave Rush chaining in Quick Battles, and the Orbment Arts system; select former NPCs become playable party members. Downtime activities include fishing, poker, and cooking.
Story beat from the press release: after Liberl’s turmoil, Joshua vanishes and Estelle’s search pulls her into Ouroboros and its Enforcers.
