Bloodborne Has Reportedly Sold 251,000 Copies in 2026 Alone, More Than a Decade After Launch

More than 11 years after release, Bloodborne is still finding new players. FromSoftware’s gothic action RPG has sold more than 251,000 copies so far in 2026, according to estimates from Alinea Analytics shared on X by the firm’s head of market analysis, Rhys Elliott, and reported by Eurogamer.

Elliott’s numbers put Bloodborne’s lifetime sales at roughly 10.4 million copies and about $317 million in revenue. Sony and FromSoftware have never published an official lifetime figure for the game, so these are third-party estimates rather than confirmed totals.

Sales are only part of the picture. Elliott also estimated that more than half a million people played Bloodborne in October through PlayStation Plus. Of those players, he said about 12% also played Elden Ring during the month, 6% played Dark Souls 3 and 5% played Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. “There’s a cohort of gamers who are always bouncing between different From games,” Elliott wrote. “Can’t blame them, especially with this one.”

The staying power is notable because Bloodborne has barely changed since 2015. It is still a PS4 game. It runs on PS5 through backward compatibility with smoother frame pacing, but it never got an official PS5 patch, a remaster or a PC port, despite years of requests from fans.

There have been near misses. Before Sony closed Bluepoint Games earlier this year, the Demon’s Souls remake studio reportedly pitched a Bloodborne remake, which FromSoftware turned down. Former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida has said director Hidetaka Miyazaki has a deep attachment to the game and suggested he would rather handle any new version himself but is too busy to do it. “He doesn’t want anyone else to touch it,” Yoshida said.

Miyazaki’s studio has plenty on its plate. FromSoftware recently delayed its Switch 2 exclusive The Duskbloods to 2027 for final balance work, and the studio has not said anything about Bloodborne’s future. For now, the only way to play Yharnam is still on a PlayStation, and a lot of people are still doing exactly that.
